Working collaboratively to "Breakout" a prize from the lock box.

So That I Can:
Begin to see how important team work is in class.
Get a snapshot of what topics are covered this year.

I Will Know I Got It When:
Our team unlocks all of the locks!

Plan for the Day:
Students complete a group breakout today. This is to foster collaboration and team building while getting to see some of the topics we will be studying this year.

January 31: ICK Self-Grading and Revision

Today I Am:
Self assessment my ICK write up and revising.

So That I Can:
Determine if I completed all steps.

I Will Know I Got It When:
My self assessment is complete, my revisions are done and my ICK report is turned in.  (Not due until Thursday)

Students complete a self-assesssment of their ICK reports in class. The final product is due on Thursday.

January 30: Energy Transfers

I am out with a sick child. So here are your directions for today. 

1. Hold onto your ICK papers. Bring them tomorrow. 
2. Work on the document below. I am introducing you to Sankey energy diagrams. And possible calculations. Do the best you can. It IS homework if you do not complete during class.


Students are reading about energy transfer and completing a variety of activities around this.
